The EDA/CAD Engineer at Optimum will be responsible for collaboratively developing and maintaining

CHIP design tools and environment. 

You will work to improve efficiency through toolchain development, automation, library management,

and license/load management. A successful candidate will have demonstrated experience developing

and maintaining a production CAD/EDA environment, qualifying libraries and new tools,

and a demonstrated ability to develop scripts and tools for automation.

You will work closely with designers to ensure that tool flows are effective and reliable.

You will also have prior experience configuring and managing linux environments and job schedulers. 

A successful candidate will meet all of the following requirements: 

● B.S. degree with 5+ years experience in EDA/CAD tool automation and flow development. 
● Possesses a strong understanding of CHIP design flows and the interactions between the associated tools. 
● Experience writing scripts for automating design flows and post-processing results and logs 
● Proficiency with TCL or Perl and comfort using other scripting languages like Python, SKILL, and BASH. 
● Ability to configure and manage a linux computing environment (preferably 
RHEL) with expertise in NFS, DNS, LDAP, LSF, and FlexLM. 


Additional Desired Skills: 


● Experience with automotive design requirements . 
● Familiarity with version control system
● Experience with GRID engines

Job Description In this position you will be developing, testing, and deploying Tools, Flows, and Methodologies 

for RTL Design and Validation efforts .You will also be responsible for development, training, documentation, 

and providing support to Optimum customers .

 

The job requires 20 work hours per week on average. Working hours/days are flexible. 

It is possible to work less hours during the exams period and more hours during off-studies vacations. 

Knowledge of at least one programming language and/or UNIX scripting (Perl,Tcl,Python) Self-motivated and independent team player with excellent communication skills.
